Care & Share

A program for older independent people and younger people with disabilities

Care & Share is a program supporting frail aged people and younger people with a disability in the Mitcham Plains area. The program has been operating since 1987 and is administered by Trinity Baptist Church Community Services. Care & Share is a Home and Community Care (HACC) funded program.

Aims of Care & Share

  • To improve the quality of life for frail aged and younger disabled people who live in the Mitcham Plains area and to assist them to live as independently as possible in the community.
  • To provide opportunities for our program participants to socialize, participate in crafts, games, exercise, bus trips and outings.
  • To provide respite time for carers & assisting them to access Carer Support Services.

    • 10.00am to 2.30pm
    • Lunch 12 noon
  • Wednesday Daybreakers (any age)
    • 10.00am to 12 noon
  • Thursday
    • 10.00am to 2.30pm
    • Lunch 12 noon
  • Friday (Men's Day)
    • 10.00am to 1.30pm
    • Lunch 12 noon

Transport

Transport to program, if required, is organised by Care and Share through taxi transport.

Fees

Monday, Thursday & Friday $8.00 for the day, includes lunch & taxi fare (if required)

Outings and bus trips usually incur costs in addition to the daily fee.
