Trinity Basketball Club

The game of basketball is a great way to:

  • Build friendships
  • Develop new skills
  • Keep fit
  • Be part of a team
  • Enjoy a real 'sense of community'

At Trinity you will discover that basketball is not just a healthy activity - it is plain old FUN

At Trinity we have been involved with basketball since the 1950's and particularly so over the past twenty years as we field nearly 20 teams each year.

One year we even had a team whose average age was over 50, and they still held their own against the younger competition. Go 'Fossils'!

So you ask .... What's different about basketball at Trinity? Well, while we like to achieve success on the courts, we don't play for 'sheep stations'.  We measure success by the friendships made and nurtured, the fun we have while developing new skills and keeping healthy and fit, by being part of a team and supporting and encouraging each other, and by enjoying our community involvement.

At Trinity we love our basketball and we love providing the opportunity for you to enjoy it too. So come and be part of the FUN!

Facilities

2011-tbc-basketball-02At Trinity Baptist we have two very good external courts with adjustable height backboards suitable for all age groups. The courts are well maintained and have recently been upgraded and repainted.

The Under 8 and 10 teams play all of their season games on our courts (except the Lightning Carnival). The games are scheduled between 1pm and 4.30pm. Saturday afternoons. There is ample seating around the courts for all the spectators and families.

To help with the hunger pangs our fantastic volunteers manage a delicious sausage sizzle complete with cool drinks and steaming hot coffee and tea throughout the afternoon.

All of the Trinity Teams have their practice sessions on these courts during the week, with the older teams making use of night training under lights.

The courts are available for Hire.  Phone the Church Office 8276 1144 , Monday - Friday mornings for information.
